OBJECTIVE:Our programs are designed to combine basic skills with
Hands-On experience offering the student in-depth training in Sign
Design using WordProcessing, Computer Graphics and Desktop Publishing,
Software taught for the various Sign Design, Layout, Cutting and Printing
courses includes Printshop Deluxe, Printshop Deluxe Companion, Keyboarding, QuarkXpress
Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Sihn Design and Layout, and Power
Point Graphics (Business Presentation). Students are crossed trained on various
wordprocessing, computer graphics programs which prepare
them for a variety of occupations needed to enter Sign Design,
Layout, Cutting and Printing with an emphasis on the new computer color sign printing.
METHODOLOGY: New students can start on any Monday. Morning, afternoon or evening classes are
available 7:30a.m. to 1:30, or 12 to 6p.m. or 4 to 10p.m. The course of study at C.I.T. recommended
for retraining candidates is the Special 5, standard 16, or advanced 24 week program. As
part of the standard 100 Module/480 Hour curriculum, students receive Hands-on instruction during
lab sessions. Classes are scheduled five days a week, Monday through Friday. There are approximately
480 class room hours. Each 480 Hour (100 Module) session must be completed in a maximum of 80 days of
classes which extends over a 16 week period, plus class days lost to school holidays. This self-paced
curriculum allows many students to complete CIT's Module Courses
quickly, Graduate and go back to work early in Sign Design and Layout.

*To continue updating computers, students who complete the above Two
50 Module Sign Design Courses may receive one used training Macintosh G3 or PC Intel
Pentium II computer. Training computer, tools, and books are given
and may be taken home upon graduation, paying their tuition and fees,
and providing the school with a letter of employment verification as
is requested by some of our funding guarantors.
