Trade C-12 Earthwork and Paving as a Certified Heavy Equipment Operator Driver

OBJECTIVE:These programs are designed to teach students the basics of Californiz contracting trade C12 and allow to Certify as a Heavy Equipment Operator Driver as a - Certified Case Backhoe Operator - Certified Bobcat Operator - Certified Forklift Operator - Certified Gradall 1000 Excavator Operator Driver - Dump Truck or Semi Truck Driver. Trained C12 Heavy Equipment Operator using a Case Backhoe or Bobcat Excavator can make more money by doubling as a Semi Truck Driver where you move - drive the trucks you clean-ups during excavation and loading Haz trucks. Perform on-site continuous testing for E.P.A. Compliance. Combination of Hands-on, and video cassette lectures provides a good understanding of the test subjects. You are allowed to receive up to 9 Certificates 1) 8 hr OSHA Competent Person 2) 40 hr OSHA Hazardous Waste Site Operation 3) OSHA Confine Space 4) 8 hr OSHA Supervisor 5) Heavy Equipment Operator Driver Case 480 C Backhoe Loader 6) Ford Lift Safety 7) Track Gradall 1000 Excavator Operator Driver 8) Heavy Equipment Operator Driver Bobcat 773 9) Class A, B, or U.T.R. Driver License with endosement help in obtaining a better entry level job where you live, (no cross country driving required for high paying jobs). Most operator drivers start their entry level jobs as full time drivers, who fill in as heavy equipment operators when someone is sick, won't work week ends, or is off on vacation.


METHODOLOGY: New students can start on any Monday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. C.I.T. recommends the 16 week course. As part of the 93 Module / 240 Hour curriculum, students receive Hands -on instruction during lab sessions. Normally the Case Backhoe Loader require 10-14 behind the wheel lab hours to Certify. The remaining hours are spent in specially scheduled drivers field training sessions, short courses, grade setting training courses, lectures, and seminars. This allows many students to complete CIT's Module Courses in only 8 weeks.
